We are looking for an Operations Director to lead our team of Operations Managers and Coffee Shops across Finland. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering on our guest experience promise by developing strong leaders, driving high operational standards, ensuring seamless routines, and building a culture of operational excellence across the Finnish market
Primary location: Helsinki, Finland. Regular travel within Finland to visit shops and teams.
About the role
As Operations Director, Finland, you hold full accountability for the overall performance, growth, and daily operations of our Finnish market. You ensure that our coffee shops are places guests love to return to, and where our people are proud to work and grow.
You own the P&L and drive profitable, sustainable growth across all shops in Finland. By leading and developing a team of Operations Managers in a fast-paced environment, you secure strong execution, high operational standards, and a consistently outstanding guest experience - in every shop, every day.
You translate Nordic and Group strategies into clear local priorities, structured frameworks, and actionable plans. With a data-driven mindset, you use KPIs and insights to challenge performance, identify opportunities, and ensure continuous improvement. You act as a key partner to Nordic and Group functions within Brand, People, Real Estate, and Operations, ensuring strong alignment and successful execution in the Finnish market.
Key responsibilities
Drive profitable operations and performance

Lead Operations Managers (Ops Manager) to drive sales and profitability through structured, engaging coaching of Coffee Shop Managers (CSMs)

Monitor shop performance, identify deviations from plan, and secure progress through clear actions and follow-up

Ensure structured evaluation visits, calibration, and high-quality action plans

Secure annual Coffee Shop operational plans and follow up on results

Provide commercial input to optimize in-shop sales, ticket size, and local opportunities
Ensure operational excellence and brand standards

Secure consistent implementation of brand standards, routines, and ways of working

Collaborate with Ops Solutions on development and localization of standards and routines

Drive train-the-trainer initiatives and ensure strong deployment and follow-up of new solutions

Partner with Real Estate and Construction to prioritize refurbishments and optimize shop layouts, capacity, and performance
Develop people and build a strong organisation

Collaborate with HR to attract, recruit, and retain strong managers

Ensure performance evaluation, talent identification, and succession planning across the organisation

Coach and develop leaders to build high-performing teams and long-term capability

Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company internally and externally in the Finnish market
Who You Are
You are a strategic, hands-on leader who is just as comfortable in the board room as on the shop floor. You build trust, set direction, and follow through and you enjoy doing it together with others.
We believe you bring:
- 5+ years of experience in retail or food & beverage management with clear P&L responsibility
- Proven track record of leading multi-site operations and delivering strong commercial results
- Experience building engaged, high‑performing management teams and future leaders
- Strong focus on customer experience, quality, and consistent operational standards
- Fluent English and Finnish (or another local language in Finland)
- Academic degree and equivalent experience is also valued
